Hawaiian Adventure - Day 3 - Dec 29

On Day 3 we went to another secluded beach that required a dirt road to get to. It had a great area for the kids to boogie board. You can't beat a place that has both mountains AND beaches!

Hawaiian Adventure - Day 2 - Dec 28

We tried to alternate our days of exploring versus relaxing outside our house at the beach. Since we spent most of the first day hanging out around our house and beach we ventured to a different area for the next day. We went to Barking Sands Beach, or something like that. Hey, I was just along for the ride and since it's a month past our trip, I can't be expected to remember everything, right?

One of the greatest parts of our exploring was the Jeep. We had so much fun finding random roads and secluded beaches.

Hawaiian Adventure - Day 1 - Dec 27

Jacob planned a Hawaiian Adventure for our 10th anniversary trip. We went to Kauai which is where we went for our honeymoon. It's our favorite island and I would highly recommend everyone put it on their "bucket list". We rented a house on Poipu Beach which was perfect for the 12 of us. The beach was just across the street, there was a playground for the kids and a little coffee shop for me to get my morning pick-me-up.

Kauai is inhabited by local chickens. They are EVERYwhere. After a long plane ride (which the kiddos did awesome on), first on the agenda was to put bathing suits on, explore and run off some energy - much to the chickens' dismay.

We got to see several Honu (sea turtles) while we were there. Once they get on shore, you are not allowed to get near them so we respected her (his?) space.
